2019 spring break look book!

spring look book

Hello Everyone! Since the weather was kind of off, not all of these pictures were from the day I wore them. Some of the outfits were featured in other blog posts, so I reused those pictures for this post. Not all of these outfits are very “springy” because the weather in Virginia is all over the place. I also jumped around during the week to my favorite looks. Let me know in the comments, your favorite look from your spring break. Enjoy!

Spring Clothing Haul!

IMG_2193-2.jpg

Hello Everyone! I went shopping….again. But this time I went to ROMWE, so it doesn’t count. Romwe is a website which sells really cheap and really cute clothes. I have both things from there before, to test it out, but I bought a couple more last week. This is a try on haul. In case you were wondering, I am 5 ‘4″ and all the clothes are a size small, but they are kind of big on me. With each outfit, I listed the price but they were all under the price of $14. Except for one item, which was a special occasion item. I’ve had good experiences with ROMWE before, and I’m really happy with how the clothes came.

Spring Break Fashion Haul!

shop-gotham-nyc-shopping-2

Hello Everyone! During my Spring Break, I picked up a lot of things. I went to different souvenir shops and went shopping in Times Square. I did spend more than usual on some items, but I was on vacation, so it’s fine. I listed the price and where I got them, for each item. This is a collective haul, so it isn’t just clothes. And this is a pretty small haul, but spring is starting so get ready for more hauls and shopping. Enjoy!

Aesthetic Fashion Haul!

IMG_5420-2.jpg

Hello Everyone! I’m going to be very honest. I haven’t gone shopping… that much. But I did do a little bit of shopping last week. And I thought that everything I got, together, was  aesthetically pleasing. Most of the items are from Macy’s and ROMWE. I love ROMWE❤️❤️so much. I don’t have that many items from ROMWE, because I wanted to make sure that that website was real and the clothes were of good quality. AND IT WAS! And of course, I only bought clothing items that had a reasonable price.

First 2018 Fashion Haul

IMG_9242.JPG

Hello Everyone! I wanted to start the new year, very refreshed and, well.. NEW! I got some new clothes, bath products, and more. In addition to my shopping, I cleaned my closet out and donated it. The stores I shopped for included, Abercombrie, Lush, and of course, TARGET! They were mostly on sale, because some of the clothes these stores sell are way over priced.

DIY Furry Blanket with Trimming Pt 1

Hello Everyone! Recently I made a simple fuzzy blanket for my sister. Now I know it’s summer and it’s really hot but we all have that one family member who blasts the AC a little too much. And if not, a furry blanket is always nice to have. I love the fabric and it was pretty cheap, only $2.00 per yard at Costco. Even thought it seems like a simple craft, it was actually pretty time-consuming, because of the size and fabrics used. But, if you have the time and are patient, it should be easy.

How to make a half circle skirt

Hello Everyone! Recently I received a HUGE amount of black and blue fabric. It’s thin and stretchy. A half circle skirt immediately cam to mind. In this post I will show  the steps to making one and the math behind it.

First let’s do the math. You need to know a few simple equations first.

Circumference= 2* 3.14* radius

1.You need to find the radius. The circumference is your waist. If you are making a half circle skirt that you will need to double your waist length.

Upcycled Off the Shoulder Shirt

CLICK ON THE HEADING FOR MORE.

This was one of my favorite up- cycling project ever. I took a oversized mens shirt and made it into a off the shoulder shirt. It took me about an hour to make.

IMG_2908

The shirt was on sale at Walmart when we bought it.  The fabric is really soft and flowy. I love the red Hawaiian print. it’s a high to low shirt and has short sleeves. First I cut the top of the mens shirt off and trimmed the bottom to make it high to low. Then, I cut the sleeves using scraps.  I sewed the sleeves to the main piece and then sewed elastic across the entire hemmed piece. Lastly, I hemmed all the other edges.

I normally wear it during the summer because of the fabric and length. Jeans and shorts go well with it. In the future, I would probably add straps to the actual shirt. This shirt was really fun to make.
