HOCO.jpg

I also ended up saving A LOT of money which is always a benefit. I wanted to share this process to show an overlook at the making of a homecoming dress, and if anyone has questions – feel free to leave a comment or fill out the contact form!

what’s going on with fast fashion pt 2

fastfashion_2_1

Okay, if you’ve read part 1 you’ve seen this, but here’s the small spiel: We all say we want to help the environment, but that means more than just buying a trendy reusable straw. One of the biggest contributing factors some of the worlds most prominent problems has to do with fashion. As much as it pains me to say, the fashion world is flawed. Fast fashion, worker rights, non-inclusivity, racial discrimination, and so much more. While I will definitely expand on those topics in future posts, today I’m talking about fast fashion. In this 3 post series, I’m going to explore what it is, why it’s important, what you can do, and how you can do it. Get ready for part 2, where I’m going to talk about workers rights and fast fashion’s environmental impact! If you haven’t read part 1, it will make a lot more sense so CLICK HERE!

i made an artsy sweatshirt

artsy_

Hello Everyone! During spring break, I finished all of my homework and studying early. This led me to sew something. I wanted to do something really creative and artistic and overall new. While I was working on everything, I took pictures along the way. It’s a matching set of a sweatshirt and shorts. The shorts have a little twist to them, which was my way of making it extra “artsy”.

7 Things You NEED to know about Eco-Friendly Fashion!

ecofashion_12

Hello Everyone! In my last post from this series, I talked about Feminism and everything you need to know about it. I really loved writing about something important and also relevant to this blog and the world. In today’s post, I wanted to talk about Eco-Friendly Fashion. What it is, what brands are active with it, and a lot of more information that can help you live a more environmentally friendly life more easily. As I was writing this, I realized how uneducated I was on this topic, so I did a lot of research, for this post but mainly for myself. If you wanted to read more on this topic, at the very bottom of this post, there is a work cited section. After you read it, let me know your thoughts in the comments. Enjoy!

My November BUJO Spread! Holidays, Doodles, Calligraphy and More!

BeFunky-collage-32

Hello Everyone! Through all the school, stress, and fatigue, I still managed to finish this month’s bullet journal. I would probably fall apart without my bujo, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that I don’t have the time. This month’s spread is more minimalistic and still cute. I started out with the theme of fall food, but I ran out of ideas and changed it to fall in general. There was also some time to practice my calligraphy and my doodling skills. This might give you some inspiration for your bujo spread or maybe you want to start a bujo. Click on the month to see that spread,  August|September| October |.  Enjoy!

I also experimented with a different mood tracker and got rid of my habit tracker to see what happens.
