making my home coming dress

HOCO.jpg

It’s homecoming season. This was my first homecoming, I actually went to two of them, but I ended up making my dress. It was a challenge but I’m very happy with the outcome. I also ended up saving A LOT of money which is always a benefit. I wanted to share this process to show an overlook at the making of a homecoming dress, and if anyone has questions – feel free to leave a comment or fill out the contact form!

what’s going on with fast fashion pt 2

fastfashion_2_1

Okay, if you’ve read part 1 you’ve seen this, but here’s the small spiel: We all say we want to help the environment, but that means more than just buying a trendy reusable straw. One of the biggest contributing factors some of the worlds most prominent problems has to do with fashion. As much as it pains me to say, the fashion world is flawed. Fast fashion, worker rights, non-inclusivity, racial discrimination, and so much more. While I will definitely expand on those topics in future posts, today I’m talking about fast fashion. In this 3 post series, I’m going to explore what it is, why it’s important, what you can do, and how you can do it. Get ready for part 2, where I’m going to talk about workers rights and fast fashion’s environmental impact! If you haven’t read part 1, it will make a lot more sense so CLICK HERE!

i made an artsy sweatshirt

artsy_

Hello Everyone! During spring break, I finished all of my homework and studying early. This led me to sew something. I wanted to do something really creative and artistic and overall new. While I was working on everything, I took pictures along the way. It’s a matching set of a sweatshirt and shorts. The shorts have a little twist to them, which was my way of making it extra “artsy”.

My November BUJO Spread! Holidays, Doodles, Calligraphy and More!

BeFunky-collage-32

Hello Everyone! Through all the school, stress, and fatigue, I still managed to finish this month’s bullet journal. I would probably fall apart without my bujo, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that I don’t have the time. This month’s spread is more minimalistic and still cute. I started out with the theme of fall food, but I ran out of ideas and changed it to fall in general. There was also some time to practice my calligraphy and my doodling skills. This might give you some inspiration for your bujo spread or maybe you want to start a bujo. Click on the month to see that spread,  August|September| October |.  Enjoy!

I also experimented with a different mood tracker and got rid of my habit tracker to see what happens. Hopefully it can give you some inspiration for your bullet journal and future spreads!CLICK HERE, HERE, HERE,  or HERE TO SEE PAST SPREADS.  Enjoy!

BeFunky-collage-15

Hello!!! September has started, which means a new Bujo spread. The theme was F•R•I•E•N•D•S, because I love that show. Fall themes are really hard to make unique, so hopefully this gives some Inspiration for future spreads. Follow my Instagram, so you can see some more pics of this spread. Enjoy!

Image result for size chart in different countries

I’m doing something a little different. I recently started a Online parsons school for fashion course. One of the assignments was to make a blogpost on how one store’s size 12 might be an other store’s size 8. Since this is not my regular type of blogpost, tomorrow , I will be posting another blog post on my normal stuff. But this topic is important.
