Hello Everyone! Recently I made a simple fuzzy blanket for my sister. Now I know it’s summer and it’s really hot but we all have that one family member who blasts the AC a little too much. And if not, a furry blanket is always nice to have. I love the fabric and it was pretty cheap, only $2.00 per yard at Costco. Even thought it seems like a simple craft, it was actually pretty time-consuming, because of the size and fabrics used. But, if you have the time and are patient, it should be easy.
1. First, cut out a long strip of fabric long enough to go around the entire blanket and extra. If needed, sew two pieces together at the sides. It should have a width of 4 1/2 inches.
2. Fold it in half and iron in down.
3. While the strip is folded, sew it to the sides of the blanket. Sew the side opposite to the fold.
4. Once you sew it down one side, trim both edges so that there is extra space.
THIS IS HOW THE SEAM SHOULD LOOK LIKE
This is the first part of the DIY. I will try to finish the second part when I have the time, but it might be a while because of school and personal stuff. But that aside…. I hope you enjoyed this post!!! If you want to make several of these for practice or if you just want a lot of them, I recommend buying it from Walmart because of how much cheaper their fabric is!
HAVE A FABULOUS DAY!
